Not very much more to say about this band than YouTube does:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvKxHHXuKqE
Like one of the commenators correctly mentioned:
ÔYeaaahhhhh
we all look like psycho-spermatozoa assaulting an epileptic ovule.Õ
In some
interviews I mentioned I was building something for Brian Gibson. I met him two
days after the YouTube clip performance and his gear was too ridiculous overdriven
loud for two of my instruments, so my sound collapsed totallyÉ @#$!!! Fuck,
hahaha! ThatÕs for sure a proof of being the loudest band on earth.
On one
instrument I had made a great sounding electric Mbira in a bass body, but the
feedback was too aggressive on Brians gear. Luckily I had also brought a 3rd
instrument which was a drum guitar and Chippendale got away on that one very
good and they were convinced about that one at least.
Anyway IÕm
continuing my struggle with the building proces for Lightning Bolt, because
they and Melt-Banana are on my top list to enclose as one of the bands IÕve
made instruments for. I think I can solve Mbira-feedback issue, but it all
takes time.
Meanwhile you
can visit them and have an exciting experience. If you consider buying a record
I can recommend Hypermagic Mountain, which I
like the most of the records.
Chippendale
also plays in Mindflayer, not sure if that still excists and has a solo project
called Black Pus. And I read somewhere heÕs done some drumming for Bjork, but IÕve
never heard the track so far.
