Le Guess Who? Festival
Le Guess Who? Festival is a yearly festival held in Utrecht,
arranged by Bob van Heur, booker of bands like HEALTH, Abe Vigoda, Sleepy Sun, Women, The Dodos, Animal Collective and a lot of
others in collaboration with Johan Gijsen, programmer of venue Tivoli in
Utrecht. It takes place at several locations in Utrecht, such as EKKO, Tivoli
De Helling and Tivoli.
The festival started in 2007 and takes place in November
every year in Utrecht, Holland. The festival focuses on pop underground and
beyond. ItŐs not a big festival, so not to expensive to visit and with a high
profile international line-up mainly consisting of new upcoming bands.
Bob and I put in a big 4-hour Workshop building your own
Home Swinger for their 3rd edition. This workshop took
place on three of the four days of the festival.
This third edition was from 26th till 29th
of November 2009.

Deer Tick, Wild Beasts, The Tragically Hip, Tweak Bird, A Place to Bury
Strangers, Sic Organs of Admittance, The Shaky Hands, Basia Bulat, Alexander
Tucker, Aids Wolf (cancelled), Birthday Suits, Crystal Fighters, TV Buddahas,
Bibio, The Field, Wavves, Micah P. Hinson, Tony Dekker (Great Lake Swimmers),
Jason Molina (cancelled)/Johnson, William Fitzsimmons and a lot of others I
donŐt remember right now.
Also Nick Helderman,
Shawn Brackbill and Annie Hoogendoorn had a photography exhibition at that
edition.
