77 Boadrum

On July 7th, 2007, devoted participants and fans gathered at Brooklyn's Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park to experience an ensemble of 77 drummers performing as "one giant instrument" under the direction of Japanese music legends Boredoms. Viva Radio documented the performance has a good overview of all involved people with the video of the performance, images, short interviews, a map, etc.

A lot of famous drummers joined, such as Brian Chippendale (Lightning Bolt), Matt Schutlz (Enon), David Grubbs, Keith Connolly.

Check out the hanging drum guitars in the centre. I saw these for the first time in 2008. The ones I’ve built in 2005 are almost equal in looks.
